The Barnies are Back! PDF Print E-mail
Written by Paul Gobble
For the second year in a row, The Barn Theatre will be joining The Richland Independence Day Parade by having one of their gifted vocal talents perform The National Anthem. Last year the Barn Theatre came through after a last minute cancelation to save the parade by sending Miriam Henkel-Moellmann, a recent graduate of Kent State's BFA in Musical Theatre program, to grace the crowds with the National Anthem. Her performance was so popular that we just had to ask the Barn Theatre come back.

This year we are luck to have Lance Fletke perform the National Anthem for us. Lance is honored to be working at the Barn Theatre this summer in his regional theatre debut. Hailing from Grand Rapids, Michigan, Lance currently attends The University of Michigan, where he is pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre, as well as a BA in English and a Bachelor of Theatre Arts. Recent credits include Jamie in THE LAST FIVE YEARS, Captain Walker in THE WHO’S TOMMY, and Ferdinand in THE TEMPEST. Lance sends, "Much love and many thanks to my family and friends for their support. Go Blue!"

A tradition is born! Don't miss it. And don't miss The Barn Theatre's 66th season line up for much more fantastic live musical performances going on all summer.

Barn Theatre Saves The Day PDF Print E-mail

After we learned that the person scheduled to sing the National Anthem at the parade would not be able to, the parade committee scrambled to find a last minute replacement. And who came to the rescue? The Barn Theatre! This year the National Anthem at the parade will be sung by one of their outstanding young interns. So we are all in for a treat! Thank you Barn Theatre! Be sure to show your support for the Barn Theatre on parade day and by making a point to see at least one show this season.

This Year's Grand Marshal PDF Print E-mail
Written by Administrator
The 4th is almost here. Be sure to bring everyone out to cheer on the parade and this year's Grand Marshal: Jerry Luedecking. It seems like every year Jerry is nominated to be our grand marshal, so this is Jerry's year. The parade committee asked Jerry because he is an excellent example of a local individual who has given great service to both his local community (as the township fire chief and a Kalamazoo police officer) and to his nation (his recent two deployments overseas). Thank you Jerry!
